Business Attire for Professionalism

Dressing professionally shows who you are, even if your job isn't professional. Most students are easily complacent with the rules of freedom of dress during college, so they tend to be relaxed and untidy. In fact, clothing is often seen as a form of communication that reflects one's self. Most universities liberate fashion in dress.

Business Attire for Professionalism

Business Attire is a way to dress neatly and formally, such as using a business suit complete with a blazer or shirt and tie for men. The targets of this program are staff, management, lecturers and students.

The students referred to above are students who have entered semesters VI to VIII. The use of Business Attire is required when in the campus area and during class. All students, lecturers and staff are required to use campus attributes.

The Professional Dress Code Policy is derived from the decisions of the relevant stakeholder meetings. This decision takes into account that seventh semester students are required to take part in an internship which requires them to wear formal clothes.

Program socialization was carried out to provide direction and explanation about the importance of using Business Attire among students. After the socialization, students are given approximately one month to prepare themselves to undergo the rules.

In addition to using Business Attire as daily clothing, female students are required to use standard make-up. In terms of dressing, female students are strongly encouraged to use a blazer, the skirt must be below the knee or trousers that are not tight, wear simple accessories and formal flat shoes or heels with a minimum height of 3 cm.

As for men, neat hair and a fresh face without make-up really need attention. Blazers and ties are highly recommended for students, in addition they must use cotton trousers (not jeans), belts and formal shoes. Colors that are highly recommended for men are black, dark blue, dark brown, and gray. If there are students or students who violate these rules, they will receive a warning and be subject to sanctions in the form of reduction of Non Academic Points.

Do you agree with the use of Business Attire on campus? Students should get used to wearing formal clothes from the start and getting to know the existing Business Attire model, so that it can help their appearance at work and not experience culture shock. Professionalism cannot be achieved only by using Business Attire, but is also supported by a professional attitude and mind that is carried out consistently.

With the regulations regarding the use of Business Attire, students are expected to become professional individuals, not only physically but also mentally. Just imagine if a student claims to study at a well-known and high-quality campus but they only wear jeans, t-shirts and sandals. One's perception of another's professionalism is bound to increase when one's appearance matches one's speech.
